The “Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore” is the most important Catholic University in Europe and the only Italian University to boast an impressive national network with five campuses in Milan, Piacenza, Cremona, Brescia and Rome.
The Catholic University located in Rome is affiliated with the Policlinico Universitario “A. Gemelli”, a well-known teaching hospital and one of the largest and most advanced hospitals in the country.
In addition to its clinical work, the Policlinico Universitario “A. Gemelli” is actively involved in research and innovation through the “Gemelli Science and Technology Park” (G-STeP) .
G-STeP is a network of services supporting all phases of development of a scientific research project and is composed of more than 20 Research Core Facilities, including Bioinformatics .
The bioinformatics facility is rapidly expanding and currently comprises seven members with backgrounds in bioinformatics, biomedical engineering, and mathematics.
The Bioinformatics facility offers both standard and customized analysis solutions, specifically created for the needs of a research project.
Among the services offered there are NGS analysis (downstream analysis of genome, transcriptome and smallRNA sequencing), scRNAseq, ATAC-seq, (phospho)proteomics and network analysis.
