Coronavirus Update 14: Procedure for Temporary Teams Account Request

The procedure for requesting a temporary Teams account is reserved to: • New International students (ongoing enrollment on Delphi platform for the 2020/2021 academic year, and already registered on the Universitaly portal)• New Bachelor Degree students (pending the final secondary school exams and diploma certificate for 2020) for Italian students• New Master Degree students (pending the final Bachelor dissertation and degree certificate for the 2019/2020 academic year) for Italian students Please follow these steps: 1. Fill in the FORM and verify that you have correctly entered your personal email address. If the request is successful, at the end you will receive a summary email; should this confirmation not arrive, please contact us. 2. The Welcome Office will approve the request. 3. You will receive an email with a username and password to log into Teams. 4. Connect to Teams from WEB ( log in and set your personal password. 5. Download and install the Microsoft Teams app. In

European Researchers’ Night 2020

The European Researchers’ Night returns simultaneously across Europe on Friday 27 November 2020. Turin welcomes with particular joy the return to the city of the European event, with Sharper – SHAring Researchers’ Passion for Evolving Responsibilities, a national project that has passed the selection and will therefore be financed by the European Commission within the European Framework Program for Research and Innovation HORIZON 2020. The European Researchers’ Night is organized by the University and the Politecnico of Turin, with the participation of Università di Scienze Gastronomiche, INFN, INAF, CNR- IPSP e INRIM, the Egyptian Museum, Città di Torino with with the city’s cultural system (museums, libraries and schools), Compagnia di San Paolo with Sistema Scienza Piemonte and Città Metropolitana di Torino with Europe Direct. The 2020 call for proposal, including several topics, has just been launched. Participants must fill in the application form within 6th Septemebr 2020.

8-11 settembre: l’Università di Parma organizza la Italian Conference on Optics and Photonics (ICOP2020)

L’Università di Parma organizza da lunedì 8 a venerdì 11 settembre la Italian Conference on Optics and Photonics (ICOP2020), che si svolgerà interamente in modo virtuale a causa delle restrizioni legate all’emergenza sanitaria. La conferenza è organizzata da Annamaria Cucinotta, Stefano Selleri e Federica Poli del Dipartimento di Ingegneria e Architettura dell’Università di Parma. Tutte le 24 sessioni scientifiche saranno trasmesse in diretta streaming, dalle 8.30 alle 13.30. L’accesso alle sessioni plenarie e alle sessioni scientifiche è libero e gratuito. Per partecipare alle sessioni è sufficiente registrarsi cliccando sul link della sessione a cui si è interessati, inserendo il proprio nome e indirizzo e-mail. Il programma prevede 19 invited speakers tra cui Dalma Novak (Octane Wireless, USA), Roberta Ramponi (IFN-CNR e Photonics21), Alberto Diaspro (IIT), Andrea Melloni (Politecnico di Milano), Jesper Lægsgaard (Technical University of Denmark), Michalis N. Talent@UniPD: Call Starting & Consolidator Grant 2021

The Talent @UniPD Programme offers support in preparing for the Starting and Consolidator Grant Calls 2021 The Talents @UniPD programme is aimed at identifying outstanding candidates for the “ERC Starting Grant 2021″ and the “ERC Consolidator Grant 2021″ calls, funded by the European Commission Framework programme Horizon Europe, with deadlines March 9th, 2021, and April 20th, 2021, respectively. Talent @Unipd is a scouting initiative promoted by the University of Padova towards the ERC. Selected participants will be supported at each stage of their ERC proposal preparation and submission. Principal Investigators who should be funded by the ERC will be offered a variety of benefits, which are set according to the University current regulations.
