Software Carpentry aims to help researchers get their work done in less time and with less pain by teaching them basic research computing skills. This hands-on workshop will cover basic concepts and tools, including program design, version control, data management, and task automation. Participants will be encouraged to help one another and to apply what they have learned to their own research problems. The course is aimed at graduate students and other researchers. You don't need to have any previous knowledge of the tools that will be presented at the workshop. Deadline for application is June 15, 2019 There are 25 seats available. Partecipants will be selected on the basis of motivations given in the application form. Chosen participants will be notified by June 18, 2019 Space is limited and it will likely fill quickly. The course is free but a no-show-up fee will be charged to your institution if you do not show-up.
